Kiosk mode unclear
New user and just upgraded to pro. trying to test things to possibly use your app at a school dance with a lot of requests. Im in testing mode but I can not find a kiosk mode link that does not include a session link or a side menu to the left. I literally have spent an hour searching the internet, looking at your documentation and using AI to try and get a solution but have not been able to do it. I read something about assigning staff members and even created a new account to try and have one account to link or add as staff. its maddening so this is typed in frustration because Im sure it can work but i cant figure it out. I can not seem to find a kiosk link that does not have the menu items on the left no matter how hard I try. In the documentation directions to use kiosk it states "Choose which users/devices should be designated as kiosks" what does that mean? how would one do that? any advice. Sorry if I appear mad, im just know it can work and cant figure it out.

First off, we’re really sorry for the frustration you’ve been experiencing. Thank you for sticking with it and for explaining your situation so clearly.
The main point of confusion I think is this: Kiosk mode does not generate a separate “kiosk link.”
Instead, it uses the exact same event link you already have. The difference is based on which user account is opening the link.
Kiosk mode simply puts a specific user into a restricted interface.
So when the event is opened by a user who is marked as a kiosk, the interface is automatically simplified. When the same link is opened by a normal user, everything appears as usual.
That’s what the documentation means by:
“Choose which users/devices should be designated as kiosks.”
You’re not creating a new link, you’re assigning a user to behave like a kiosk.
To set this up, follow these steps:
- Open your Event
- Tap the ellipsis (three dots) menu in the top right corner
- Select Kiosk Mode
- Choose which users/devices should be designated as kiosks
Once configured, those selected users will automatically be restricted to kiosk functionality when they access your event.
Does this clear up the confusion about how kiosk mode works and why you weren’t finding a special kiosk link?
